Why running is the least of my challenges right now

I’m a major procrastinator and I am multi-passionate, which means I have a lot of things going on.

At the moment I’m on holiday in a beautiful 500-year cottage in Norfolk.

I’m 20,000km from home, aka New Zealand and three hours from my new home in Warwickshire. It’s fair to say a lot has happened in my life the past two months.

But right now I’m prepping for a wedding  – I’ve a speech to write and deliver – and I have to master walking 187 steps up the aisle in the biggest heels I’ve ever owned. blog-challenge-badge-12

Even though my life is a bit topsy-turvy (though no more jet-lag!) I’m still coaching some amazing clients and I’m still running. But there are so many other things I want to be doing but haven’t got around to yet.

I find being multi-passionate a major challenge.

I have an idea and I want to action it. For example, I have this awesome course I want to create to help runners improve technique, speed, strength etc, but that requires focus and it’s pretty hard to do that when there’s a four-year-old charging about and you’re supposed to be relaxing.

I’ve gone so far as buying the url and mapping it out on paper, but now it needs to be created and tested.

I had an idea last night to create a new blog to document the decluttering of my mum’s home – one of the reasons why we’ve moved to the UK for the long term. (I was thinking of calling it Decluttering Dad since it’s all his collections I am in charge of rehoming/selling).

I also have a business selling doTERRA essential oils and I want to get started on that over here too.

I’ve been multi-passionate for as long as I remember. I love baking, preserving, watching sport, writing, reading, watching youtube, taking pictures, exploring, running, health and wellness, and much more.

My other challenges at the moment are procrastination – I’ve written this blog post instead of my speech – and focus. I find it hard to get tunnel vision and focus on one task at once.

PS I realise the date of the blog challenge has now passed but I signed up for it thinking I could get some blogging time while in Vancouver and en route to Norwich. I was wrong!
